1. Introduction & Overview

This Privacy Policy describes how Lasantha Pradeep ("I", "me", or "my") handles information when you visit https://chinguverse.com (the "Website") or install and use the ChinguVerse companion application for Windows (the "Application").

The Website is a public, informational site. I do not intentionally collect or save visitor personal data through it. ChinguVerse is designed with an offline-first architecture and does not require an online account.

2. Information I Handle: Website vs. Windows Desktop App

A. Through the Website (chinguverse.com)

• Technical delivery: The hosting provider may process standard request information, such as an IP address, browser type, and request time, to deliver pages and protect the service. I do not operate a separate visitor database or use this information for profiling.
• No website forms or sign-ups: The Website has no account registration, newsletter, waitlist, contact form, or user-data submission feature.
• No cookies or browser storage: The Website does not create or read cookies, localStorage, sessionStorage, IndexedDB, or similar storage.

B. Through the Windows Desktop Application

• 100% Offline-First Operation: The companion does not require an active internet connection or online user account. You can run the application completely disconnected from the network.
• Local Settings & Content Storage: All sticky notes, to-do lists, reminder schedules (hydration, break intervals), custom companion names, level progression, and window coordinates are stored strictly in local files (such as local JSON or SQLite databases) within your Windows User Profile directory (e.g., %APPDATA%\ChinguVerse\). I have zero access to or copies of this local data.
• Cursor Tracking Mechanics: The application queries local mouse pointer coordinates relative to your screen solely to compute the vector angle for the companion's pupils and head orientation. It never records keystrokes, does not take screen captures, does not inspect active window text, and does not access your webcam or microphone.

3. No Website Analytics or Telemetry

I do not run analytics, advertising trackers, behavioral profiling, or website telemetry.

If the website ever adds a data-collection feature, this policy will be updated before that feature is introduced. The current website has no such feature.

• No account or login is required.
• No optional analytics or diagnostics are enabled on the Website.
• No personal identifiers or usernames are requested by the Website.

4. Sound, System Permissions & Security

• Audio Permissions: ChinguVerse produces audio through your default Windows audio output device. It does not record audio or access microphone inputs.
• Hardware Resource Safety: The application does not require administrator privileges to run after installation and operates with standard user permissions.
• Fullscreen Autopause: To respect your computing experience, rendering automatically sleeps during full-screen games and media playback.

5. Microsoft Store Purchases & Payment Data

If you download or purchase optional companion expansions via the Microsoft Store:

All financial transactions, credit card processing, billing records, and authentication are managed directly by Microsoft Corporation pursuant to the Microsoft Store Terms of Sale and Microsoft Privacy Statement. I do not receive, store, or process your credit card numbers or financial account details.

6. Data Retention, Local Deletion & User Rights

Because all companion data is stored locally on your personal device:

• Immediate Local Deletion: You can completely erase all notes, reminders, and pet progress at any time by uninstalling the application or deleting the local configuration directory located at %APPDATA%\ChinguVerse\.
• Website data: Because the Website has no forms, accounts, cookies, or analytics, there is no Website profile or stored visitor record to delete.
• GDPR & CCPA Rights: Subject to applicable data protection laws, you have the right to request confirmation of whether I process any personal data, obtain access, or request erasure. Since I store no personal cloud accounts, I hold no cloud data profiles to disclose.

7. Children's Privacy

ChinguVerse is designed for general desktop productivity and entertainment. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or under 16 where required by regional law). The application runs offline and does not solicit personal data from minors.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect product enhancements, architectural updates, or legal compliance requirements. When changes are published, I will update the "Last Revised" date at the top of this document.
